America is full of scenic routes that are even more incredible from the view of a motorcycle, and many amazing rides can be had in a day or less! (But for the adventurous, plan for an extended trip.) Here are several standout rides to experience in the beautiful USA as we celebrate the Fourth of July.

THE PACIFIC COAST HIGHWAY

The PCH stretches over 600 miles along California’s coastline, and you’ll get a taste of all things California, from mountains to beaches, farm stands, surfing villages, Hollywood glamor, and more. This ride is meant to be taken slowly so you can take in all the sights.

FLORIDA KEYS

Stretching from Key Largo to Key West, the highway spans 43 islands linked by long bridges, showcasing breathtaking views of white sand beaches and turquoise-blue waters. The Florida Keys, rich in Cuban and Bahamian influences, are perfect for leisurely cruising.

ROUTE 66

For the best motorcycling roads in New Mexico, the 217-mile stretch between Albuquerque and Glenrio covers some of the most nostalgic parts of Route 66. Albuquerque boasts the longest section and features old neon signs and classic 50’s diners that seem frozen in time.

MILLION DOLLAR HIGHWAY

Traversing the wild San Juan mountain range in Colorado, the Million Dollar Highway is one of the most scenic roads in the U.S. The highway offers spectacular views of mountains, valleys, and gorges, often hugging cliff edges and featuring sheer drops at hair-raising corners.

NATCHEZ TRACE PARKWAY

The Natchez Trace Parkway is a historic forest roadway that winds through Mississippi, Alabama, and Tennessee. This serene, two-lane road spans 444 miles, passing through forests, mountains, ghost towns, and expansive fields, making it a favorite of motorcycle riders.

BLACK HILLS SOUTH DAKOTA

The Black Hills route in South Dakota, home to the legendary Sturgis Rally, is one of the most iconic motorcycling roads in the U.S. See milestones like Mount Rushmore, with both curvy and scenic roads and enjoy this motorcycling landmark.

BLUE RIDGE PARKWAY

The Blue Ridge Parkway, a 400-mile road connecting Tennessee and Virginia, follows the ridge of the Appalachian Mountains. Renowned as the best motorcycling road on the East Coast, it offers plenty of curves, stunning scenery, and frequent wildlife sightings.

TAIL OF THE DRAGON

Tail of the Dragon, America’s most famous motorcycling road, boasts 318 curves in eleven miles. Nestled between the Smoky Mountains, it offers endless endless hairpin turns and thrilling corners with no intersecting roads or pullouts, providing pure motorcycling bliss.

HUDSON VALLEY

Starting at the New Jersey-New York border in Palisades Interstate Park and continuing to Albany, the Hudson Valley route offers diverse views, smooth riding and numerous spots for food and rest. Take your time with this one and soak it all in over one to two days.
